FIELD: pneumatic hammers.
SUBSTANCE: hammer comprises a body, a working tool retained relative to the body, a handle, a partition with an axial hole, in which a tube with outlet channels is installed and fixed, and striker with through axial channel to pass said tube, dividing body cavity into working stroke chamber from side of partition and idle stroke chamber on side of working tool. On side surface of striker there is a bypass channel in form of inclined slot at an angle to generatrix of striker surface. Hammer inclined slot is made through with variable cross-section and constantly open outlets to both end faces of hammer from working chamber side and from idling chamber side with constant communication of both chambers with each other. Area of cross section of hammer inclined slot decreases towards idle stroke chamber.
EFFECT: as a result, air consumption is reduced and energy efficiency of impact transmitted to working tool is reduced.
