FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipeline transport and can be used in overhaul of gas pipeline sections in order to clean inner cavity of pipeline from temporary sealing devices (hereinafter – TSD). Method for displacement of temporary sealing devices during operation of main gas pipelines in multi-thread version includes blowing and filling of pipeline to working pressure after its overhaul, putting into operation of the cleaned section through the receiving device of the cleaning device with the working medium flow restoration to the working pressure, advancement of the temporary sealing devices under the working medium pressure to the receiving device of the cleaning device, further, the quality of cleaning the pipeline is controlled by passing the cleaned section of the piston along the entire length of the cleaning device through the launching chamber.

EFFECT: invention ensures reliability of cleaning of inner cavity of pipeline from TSD and allows to expand field of application.
