SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related to technology for supplying gas for displacing a gas-air mixture during repair work on a linear part of a main gas pipeline. The aim of the invention is to develop a method for displacing a gas-air mixture through gas extraction risers from a section of a main gas pipeline and to develop a device for its implementation. The technical result is achieved by the fact that the purge of the repaired section of the main gas pipeline is carried out by a portable removable pipeline with a gate and connecting flanges by regulating the gas supply with this gate.

EFFECT: elimination of failure of pipeline fittings of the bypass line of the valve units of the linear part of the main gas pipeline due to the prevention of gas throttling by pipeline fittings and the prevention of unscheduled replacement of the bypass line ball valves associated with premature wear of its sealing elements and units.
