FIELD: field-geophysical survey.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field-geophysical research, namely, to method of borehole acoustic noise measurement. According to the method of determining working intervals of depths of oil and gas formations acoustic noise inside the well borehole drilled in the formation is recorded using a borehole instrument containing at least one sound detector. Analyzed and processed registered acoustic noise in time domain, during which clipped parts of registered acoustic noises and resonance modes are identified and removed. Spectral power densities of the detected acoustic noise are obtained along the length of the well bore and working intervals of formation depths are determined by intervals of localization depths in the borehole of broadband acoustic noise at frequencies higher than 5 kHz.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy and reliability of determination of working intervals of depths of oil and gas formations.
