FIELD: nonwoven materials.

SUBSTANCE: in compliance with this invention, biodegradable nonwoven material for thermoforming is proposed, wherein biodegradable nonwoven material consists of polymer based on polylactic acid and has a surface density of 20–300 g/m2, wherein the biodegradable nonwoven material is preferably characterized in that it consists of long polylactic acid polymer fibres, has relative elongation in machine direction making 50 % or more at 120 °C, and has degree of change in machine direction, component ±4 % or less at 80–140 °C, determined by thermomechanical analysis; method of producing a moulded article by using said biodegradable nonwoven material and a method of forming a biodegradable container for extracting a beverage, wherein the method is characterized in that the moulded article has a degree of change in the machine direction of 4 % or less, determined by thermomechanical analysis (TMA) under load of 0.05 N/2 mm at 30–100 °C.

EFFECT: object of the present invention is to provide a non-woven material which is biodegradable, and also has high relative elongation, high thermal stability and very good formability.
