FIELD: beverage preparation devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to capsule (100) for beverage preparation in beverage preparation device. Capsule (100) comprises capsule body (200) with side wall (210) defining chamber (250) for accommodating substance (500) for preparing a beverage, and injecting wall (220) for injecting a fluid into chamber (250) for preparing a beverage during interaction of fluid medium with substance (500). Capsule (100) further comprises outlet wall (300) which is connected to capsule body (200) for closing chamber (250). Outlet wall (300) comprises, in multilayer structure, retaining layer (320) opened during interaction with opening elements under action of increasing pressure of fluid medium injected into capsule (100), and filtering layer (310) for filtering particles from prepared beverage. Each of filtering layer (310) and retaining layer (320) is made of biodegradable material. Filtering layer (310) is located on the side opposite to chamber (250) relative to retaining layer (320). Invention also relates to a method of producing capsule (100) and use of capsule (100) for preparing a beverage.

EFFECT: providing a capsule with a configuration and design which facilitates the use of compostable materials for the entire capsule while maintaining and/or exceeding quality standards and continuity of the prepared beverage in accordance with a comparable aluminium capsule.
