FIELD: electricity; chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical current sources and a method of making a positive electrode of prismatic chemical current sources. Method for manufacturing of positive electrode of prismatic chemical current sources includes manufacturing of blanks containing titanium current collector with grate, two electrodes with active mass based on manganese dioxide, applied on opposite sides of grid, compressing the blanks with a polyethylene seal, and the separation material paste layer between two metal plates at pressure of 12.0–22.0 MPa (120–220 kgf/cm2) for 10–60 seconds. In process of electrode manufacturing, electrode external parameters control is performed, then electrode is wrapped by separator, wrapped electrode is put into cassette, cassette is clamped by clamps, separator is welded along perimeter.
EFFECT: improved electrical and mechanical characteristics of the electrode is the technical result of the invention.
