FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical equipment, namely to the method of manufacturing workpieces of a positive electrode for prismatic chemical current sources. Disclosed method of producing a positive electrode of a lithium chemical current source, comprising a titanium current collector with a grid, two electrodes with active mass based on manganese dioxide, deposited on opposite sides of the grid, includes preparation of active mass plates, applying plate active mass on the grid, followed by a double compression at pressure 41–62 MPa (410–620 kgf/cm2) for 10–30 seconds with intermediate drying at temperature of 100–120 °C for 2–4 hours and heat treatment at temperature 230–250 °C for 1–1.5 hours.
EFFECT: high density of the active mass of the positive electrode and high electrical and mechanical characteristics thereof is the technical result of the invention.
