Downhole filter comprises nipples and a filtering element comprising stringers laid parallel to the borehole filter axis between the retainer rings and coiled turns of the profiled wire wound thereon. Stringers have L-like cross section, are located radially, and one their base contacts with coils of profiled wire.

EFFECT: improved cleaning while maintaining strength of the filter.
