FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas industry, particularly, to oil and gas filtration. Device contains nipples and filtering element containing stringers laid parallel to downhole filter axis between limiting rings and coils of shaped wire of triangular or trapezoidal cross-section wound on them. Stringers are made hollow in form of trapezium and installed at an angle to radial direction, note here that their smaller faces are arranged parallel to longitudinal axis of downhole filter while stringer height is made from the following ratio: H=(2.2…2.5)b₁ where: H – height of stringer, b₁ – width of lesser base of stringer.

EFFECT: reduced weight, simplified design and efficient cleaning.
