FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to production of articles by layer-by-layer selective growing from powder. Device comprises a working chamber for forming an article, a hopper with powder, configured to supply powder to a substrate, leveler of powder layer, made with possibility of ultrasonic oscillations influence on powder layer applied to substrate, and laser made with possibility of selective scanning of powder layer. Equalizer of layer of powder is made in the form of tray with placed in it one or several ultrasonic radiators, which has working surface in form of plate for powder sealing by ultrasonic oscillations, located in antinode of oscillations. Dimensions of equalizer in height are multiples of half-wave at preset frequency of ultrasonic oscillations. Method involves successive deposition of powder layers of specified thickness, their alignment by means of layer equalizer of powder, which ensures compaction of powder by ultrasonic oscillations with frequency of 16–45 kHz and amplitude of 5–70 mcm, and selective scanning by laser.

EFFECT: reduced defect formation in articles and higher quality of fusion or sintering of article due to achieving for each layer of powder of optimum and uniform density, providing sufficient surface activity of microparticles during sintering, as well as reduced requirements for powders by their shape and dispersion.
