FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for laser layer-by-layer synthesis of bulk articles from powders and can be used in aircraft and rocket engineering. Method involves creation of a virtual model of manufactured 3D article using 3D geometric modeling system. Virtual model is divided into thin transverse layers. Laser layer-to-layer synthesis of volumetric article by sintering or fusion of transverse layers of powder. At that thickness hpl of the transverse powder layer is determined based on the thickness hsh shrinkage of transverse layer of powder during sintering or fusion from condition hfm=(hpl-hsh)≤TF, where TF – tolerance field on nominal surface profile of three-dimensional article; hfm is the thickness of the transverse layer of the formed material. Generated profile of the article surface passes through the middle line of the transverse layer of the formed material.
EFFECT: high efficiency of laser layer-by-layer synthesis of 3D articles from powders.
