LITHIUM-ION BATTERY WITH OPERATING RANGE EXPANDED INTO LOW TEMPERATURE RANGE Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC H01M10/525

Abstract RU 2728531 C2

FIELD: electrochemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of secondary current sources, and can be used in production of lithium-ion batteries (LIA). Lithium-ion battery consists of cathode and anode materials, porous separator and electrolyte. Electrolyte contains esters of an aliphatic series with 4–5 carbon atoms in the molecule. Electrolyte composition is formed as follows: lithium hexafluorophosphate—from 0.7 to 1.3 mol/l, ethylene carbonate—from 10 to 60 wt %, methyl-ethyl carbonate—from 0 to 20 wt %, dimethyl carbonate—from 0 to 20 wt %, diethyl carbonate—from 0 to 20 wt %, esters of aliphatic series with number of carbon atoms in molecule from 4 to 5—from 10 to 85 wt %. Esters are used both in form of linear and in form of branched isomers for ethers, in which a branched form is possible. Stable cathode bonds used are aqueous dispersions based on polyacrylic latex and/or styrene-butadiene latex and/or fluorinated acrylate latexes.

EFFECT: invention widens the operating range of the LIA in the low temperature region, as well as increases the cathode resistance in the medium of the modified electrolyte.
