SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment and can be used in determining presence and concentration of alcohol in exhaled air. Method involves formation of air flows in analyzer and removal of exhaled air from previous analyzer by blowing it before collecting next sample by means of ventilation device, note here that between air inlet of analyzer and intake branch pipe of intake system air gap is provided, and air gap is blown simultaneously with said blow of analyzer by means of additional ventilation device. Formation of air flows in the analyzer is performed with removal of the remaining exhaled air after the previous measurement from the said gap and from the inlet branch pipe of the intake system. Said purges are performed in air injection mode or in its drawing mode.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and rate of cleaning of intake system and inner medium of analyzer after analysis of samples of exhaled air.
