SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices for cleaning of oral cavity. Device comprises a handle having a plurality of characters and a plurality of luminous elements; and a user interface unit. User interface unit includes an interface panel and a screening unit. Shielding unit includes a plurality of shielding sections, each of which corresponds to corresponding one of plurality of luminous elements and corresponding to one of plurality of characters. At that, each of plurality of shielding sections includes covering section, covering the screening section and located between the corresponding one of the plurality of luminous elements and corresponding one of a plurality of characters. User interface unit is designed so that it is not visible when the device is switched off and illuminates one of the characters when the device is switched on. Method of manufacturing the user interface unit of the device comprises the steps of: inserting the screening unit into the handle for cleaning the oral cavity; masking layer is applied on handle outer surface; engraving at least a portion of the masking layer to create one or more engraved areas delimiting a plurality of characters; and a light-transmissive layer is applied over the masking layer and the engraved areas.

EFFECT: use of this group of inventions will reduce the glow or excessive bright glow of the hidden panel.
