FIELD: smart devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for backlighting the top panel of a smart device. The device comprises the first and second sections located in the case, spaced apart from each other along the height of the smart device case, an upper diffuser adapted for being applied to the entire working surface of the upper panel of the smart device, whereas the first section is located in the upper panel of the smart device case and contains a touch user interface that includes the first set of LEDs located on the substrate, located in a predetermined configuration, on top of which the first set of touch sensors is placed, whereas the LEDs in the first set of LEDs of the first section are adapted for generating radiation with the first given radiation pattern for ensuring uniform illumination of a set of touch sensors of the touch user interface, the second section is adapted for being placed under the first section and represents the second set of LEDs located on the corresponding substrate and directed towards the top panel and configured to form a second predetermined radiation pattern providing a background illumination of the top panel around the touch user interface, wherein the first section is mounted on a pedestal attached to the body, while the size of the pedestal along its perimeter coincides with the size of the touch user interface, and the pedestal has continuous side protrusions around its perimeter configured to provide protection against the light from the second set of LEDs of the second section along the periphery of the first section.

EFFECT: ability to reproduce a clear image on the touch interface and background illumination of the top panel, avoiding false indications.
