FIELD: electric power industry.

SUBSTANCE: power supply system of the locomotive contains a power source, an inverter for powering the asynchronous electric motor of the compressor unit, and an uncontrolled rectifier. In this case, the uncontrolled rectifier is made on rectifier diodes with a low voltage drop. The DC mains are connected to the armature current converters for power supply of the traction motors and the excitation converter of the traction motors, as well as the onboard battery charger. In addition, the power supply is made with two power channels for the on-board network: a non-disappearing one and a disappearing one. Also, the power supply system of the locomotive contains an inverter for powering the asynchronous electric motors of the locomotive fans, a single-stage excitation converter, several inverters for separate power supply of auxiliary machines of the locomotive and external consumers, and an electrodynamic braking converter.

EFFECT: expanded functionality of the power supply system.
