SUBSTANCE: impact pad comprises base (40) with surface of conical impact surface (42) with apex (46), side wall (50) and top wall (60). Upper wall is directed from side wall inwards and ends with inner edge (62) forming neck (64). Neck is related from the top and is centered relative to it. Flange (66) is arranged on top wall and inclined radially inward and downward to conical impact surface. Projections (80) are distributed over the area of the lower surface of the flange.
EFFECT: reduced turbulence of incoming steel flow.
