COCHLEAR IMPLANT MAGNET ON SPHERICAL MAGNETS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61F11/04 A61N1/36 A61N1/05

Abstract RU 2729443 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, particularly to implanted cochlear devices. Specifically, to devices, in implanted part of which there is a spherical magnet located in the center of receiving coil and intended for holding in required position of magnet of external transmitting coil. Device comprises: a set of even – at least six – number of permanent spherical magnets with equal diameters and poles N and S, upper round flat cover from nonmagnetic material and lower round cover from non-magnetic material, additionally introduced are ring and boundary cylinder. Side ring is made from non-magnetic material, and the limiting cylinder is made of medical plastic. Dimensions of lower round cover correspond to those of upper round flat cover. Side cylindrical ring is located and rigidly fixed between upper and lower round covers. In the center of the ring of the lateral side the boundary layer is located, and around it there is a set of permanent spherical magnets, wherein the shape of the upper and lower bases of the demarcation cylinder is formed by a set of slotted circle arcs, the number of which corresponds to the set of spherical magnets, and diameter of each of which exceeds diameter of spherical magnet by tolerance value, providing free rotation of spherical magnet when filling space between spherical magnets with ferromagnetic liquid. Height of side ring should exceed height of discriminating cylinder and diameter of each spherical magnet by tolerance value, wherein the inner diameter of the side ring must, by the tolerance value, exceed the size of the demarcation cylinder with the spherical magnets arranged in each of the circular slotted arcs of the diverging cylinder.

EFFECT: device provides reduced weight of the implant and eliminates sticking of spherical magnets.
