METHOD FOR ASSESSING THE RISK OF GALVANOSIS OF ORAL CAVITY Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B5/05

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used to prevent occurrence of galvanosis of oral cavity. Determination of presence in oral cavity of structures from dissimilar metals, and if such structures are, then 1 point is assigned, and if not – 0 points; if there is a pre-existing allergic anamnesis, then 1 point is given, if not – 0 points; if presence of gastrointestinal diseases, for example chronic gastritis, gastric and duodenum peptic ulcer, 0.5 points is stated, and if there are no such diseases – 0 points; blood serum immunoglobulin E is measured, and if it is 70 to 100 IU/ml, 2 points are stated, and if more or less than this range is 0 points; then total score is calculated, and with total score of 0–1 points conclusion is made that probability of oral galvanosis is almost impossible (2.15 %); with total score of 1–2 points – low probability of oral cavity galvanosis (48.32 %); with total > 2 points – high probability of oral cavity galvanosis (95.9 %) – it is not necessary to prosthetic patients with such indices with metal structures.

EFFECT: method enables assessing the risk of oral galvanosis in the patients with an aggravated allergic history.
