FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of producing petroleum-carbon coal pitch binder, petroleum-carbon pitch binder, anode mass including petroleum-and-carbon binding pitch, and product of metallurgical or electrode industry, for production of which petroleum-and-coal binding pitch is used. Method comprises mixing coal-tar resin and oil refining product in a predetermined ratio, thermal treatment of obtained mixture in liquid phase with separation of distillate fractions and non-distillable distillation residue in form of low-temperature pitch, oxidation by air of non-distillable distillation residue to obtain oil-and-coal carbon binder. Ratio of coal tar and oil refining product during mixing is 49:51–25:75 wt. %, heat treatment of obtained mixture is carried out until distillation residue is obtained with a softening temperature of not less than 35 °C in continuous or intermittent modes, air consumption during oxidation of low-temperature pitch is 30–120 dm/kg pitch.
EFFECT: technical result consists in expansion of raw material base while maintaining quality indicators to obtain binding peaks for electrodes with low content of benz[a]pyrene.
