SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing a petroleum-coal binder pitch with a reduced benzo[a]pyrene content for producing an anode mass of aluminum electrolyzers, a petroleum-coal binder pitch, an anode mass and a product of the metallurgical or electrode industry. This method involves mixing coal tar pitch and petroleum pitch in a ratio of 1:99-80:20 wt.%. The softening point of the original pitch is 90-140°C by the Mettler method. When mixing, control the given actual density of the oil-and-coal binder pitch by sampling said pitch at intervals of 10-60 minutes. For the production of a product of the metallurgical or electrode industry, a petroleum-coal binder pitch with a reduced benzo[a]pyrene content is used.

EFFECT: technical result is to obtain a binder pitch with a reduced content of benzo[a]pyrene as a cheaper and more accessible raw material, while maintaining other quality indicators at a level that allows the use of oil-coal binder pitch for the manufacture of anode mass, coal and graphite electrodes, structural carbon materials (products of metallurgical or electrode industry), reducing energy consumption and increasing the productivity of the process, expanding the raw material market in the production of binder pitch.
