SUBSTANCE: installation for sorting articles moved by a conveyor line comprises conveyor line (2), on which articles (3) are sorted, and gripping devices (4) for articles (3) operating on the section of conveyor line (2). Gripping devices (4) in accordance with the command and selectively select products located in conveyor line (2) section, and transfer them to supports (5) located in the temporary accommodation places, selected to form stacks of single-type articles (3). Lifting-transport vehicles (6) are configured to lift, in accordance with a command, single articles or piles of articles (3), located on supports (5) in selected places of temporary location, and transfer of said products to unloading line.
EFFECT: invention eliminates need for alterations or adjustments in case of changes in shape of processed articles.
