FIELD: space equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space engineering, particularly, to vacuum chambers for testing electric rocket engines. Vacuum installation for tests of electric rocket engines comprises horizontally oriented vacuum cylindrical chamber (1) with end (6, 7) and side (8) flanges. In end flange (6) cover (9) is installed, which is made with possibility of electric rocket engine (10) fixation on it. Behind chamber (1) there is a horizontally oriented pumping cylindrical compartment (2). Diameter of compartment is smaller than diameter of vacuum chamber and is made with end (11, 12) and side (13) flanges. In the side flanges there are vacuum pumps (14). Pump compartment is connected with vacuum chamber through appropriate end flanges of chamber and pump compartment. On chamber (1) there is rail (3) with carriage (4) in direction parallel to direction of longitudinal axis of chamber. Carriage is rigidly connected to the vacuum chamber cover.
