FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to rotor braking systems. Helicopter rotors mechanical braking system comprises braking control lever, brake cover, brake drum, support, two brake shoes, brake lever, roller coupled with brake lever and kinematically connected with brake shoes, a microswitch and a wiring linking the brake control lever to the brake lever. Mechanical system of helicopter rotors braking is equipped with bracket with microswitch, fixed on brake cover by roller, installed on support. Support is equipped with pusher with return spring. Brake cover has a journal and slots for the roller and a pusher. Support is made with possibility of trunnion rotation together with brake drum at its engagement with brake shoes. Wiring is connected with brake lever through spring tip, and brake control lever is made with possibility of its fixation on control panel when brake pads are engaged with brake drum.
EFFECT: higher reliability during operation of helicopter and safety of application of braking devices of drive system of helicopter rotors in case of unforeseen situations.
