FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to synchronizers. Synchronizer of vehicle gearbox comprises movable splined coupling with holes and conical blocking chamfers therein. In the coupling holes there are pins with locking conical chamfers and a fixing groove. Locking rings are connected with pins, which are limitedly movable in circumferential direction and have conical friction surfaces. There are gears with a matching coupling splined rim and conical friction surface, as well as an elastic device. At that, the splines' rim of the gears is located at the maximum possible radius, by the condition of proximity to the parallel shaft, with the radius larger than the radii of arrangement of the blocking surfaces and friction conical surfaces. Coupling has two tiers of splined rims. One tier corresponds to spline rims of gears, and another tier is located at small radius and corresponds to hub splines. Locking pins are located on radius between tiers of split rims of coupling.
EFFECT: reduction in axial dimensions is achieved.
