SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used to prevent explosions and fires in closed tanks with combustible liquids, inside which there is electrical equipment, for example, in tanks of transformers filled with combustible transformer oil, electric reactors, switching devices tanks and in boxes of cable entries. System to prevent explosion and fire of high-voltage electrical equipment 1, located in closed tank 4 filled with combustible liquid 3, equipped with at least one detachable hatch 5, expander 7 and process pipelines 6, comprises: pressure relief device 9, which includes mechanical valve 12 and destructible membrane 14 with corresponding pickups 15; valve arranged in expander pipeline, intended for cutting off combustible liquid in expander from reservoir at pressure release; modular installation 10 of automatic gas fire extinguishing, which includes tank 18 for fire extinguishing gas, solenoid valve 21 for discharge of fire extinguishing gas 19 from reservoir, main and distributing pipeline 20 for gas inlet into reservoir 4, control unit 22.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability and efficiency with simplification and cheapening.
