EFFECT: invention provides an integrated approach that allows, in the event of an explosion of oil or oil product vapors in a ground metal tank, to reduce the pressure in the tank to values ​​that are safe for the tie seam, thereby maintaining the structural integrity of the tank, and also to eliminate fire by lowering the oxygen concentration by diluting the fuel-air mixture inert gas, nitrogen or helium; use of the invention leads to an increase in the reliability, versatility and efficiency of the system for maintaining the integrity and fire extinguishing of a tank for storing oil and oil products in the event of an explosion inside the tank and its ignition, which accordingly increases the safety during operation of a tank for storing oil and oil products of any design.
