SUBSTANCE: step for an escalator and a method of producing a step, wherein the step is made in form of a solid-piece under pressure part of light metal, comprising a step tread, a riser, at least one transverse rib, guide projections fixed only on the riser, and drive projections, each of which is located and fixed only at the stage by means of a connecting bridge.
EFFECT: invention ensures reduction of costs for the stage fabrication.
