FIELD: escalators.
SUBSTANCE: in one version, the step for an escalator or a moving track, made in the form of a solid extruded aluminum part, comprises a step carcass and a step tread having a step profile. Step profile has ridges and grooves extending in direction of displacement. Ridges are formed by two ridge shoulders extending almost parallel to each other, and ridge connecting face, and grooves pass between ridges arranged in a row along each other. According to the second version, in the step tread at right angles to the ridges and grooves direction there are openings, the lower part of the groove is rounded.
EFFECT: invention provides reduced material and weight of the step.
