FIELD: air disinfection.
SUBSTANCE: method of decontaminating air in cabin of elevator by UV-radiation includes generation of air flow located in closed volume of elevator cabin, with subsequent pumping of air flow through chamber with bactericidal lamp power of 0.03 to 0.12 W per 1 m3 of air flow pumped per hour for its disinfection with ultraviolet radiation. Recirculation rate of the air flow ranges from 30 to 60 h-1, and the disinfection time ranges from 3 to 5 minutes.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the degree of decontamination of the elevator cabin in a short period of time.
