FIELD: computer equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering for displaying current results of processing a large-size multi-dimensional image. Technical result is achieved by displaying on the sketch display device a decomposition of the original image into parts, a graph of the dependence of the numerical characteristic of the processed portions of the original image on the number of the processed part and the region for outputting a pair of image fragments, where the pair includes a portion of the processed portion of the image and a corresponding fragment of the portion of the original image. Symbols on sketched representation of decomposition of initial image into parts of processed parts of initial image and marking on display device of one of marked processed parts of initial image. Mappings on the display device in the region for outputting pairs of image fragments of the fragment of the marked part of the resulting image and the corresponding fragment of the original image and evaluation of the quality of processing of each marked part.

EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of losses of time and resources during image processing due to providing the user with possibility of evaluation of current quality of processing result.
