FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in operation of lithium-ion (LI) storage batteries (SB) mainly in autonomous power supply systems (PSS) of spacecrafts (SC). Method includes charge-discharge and storage of accumulators in a charged condition. On accumulators there installed are analogue temperature sensors in amount of at least two, as well as local electric heaters (EH). During operation the current SB temperature is determined, at that, if temperature of one of sensors has reached cut-off threshold, EH is disconnected and, if temperature of one of sensors has reached switching threshold, EH is switched on. If the temperature of one sensor has reached the cutoff threshold and at the same time another sensor has reached the switching threshold, then the EH is switched off. Besides, temperature equalization is ensured between units of one electrically connected SB with efficient control of EH.
EFFECT: claimed invention makes it possible to increase efficiency of usage of lithium-ion storage batteries.
