FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ground-based testing of spacecraft (SC). Method of ground operation of accumulator batteries (AB) of the power supply system (PSS) of a spacecraft (SC) consists in the cycling of two or more batteries in charge-discharge mode, set by the on-board automatics of PSS, limiting the degree of charge of the battery by the level of operation of the signal sensors, monitoring the parameters of each battery, e.g. current capacity, voltage, temperature; periodic assessment of the state of AB. Established or technological AB are mounted on technological thermocouples located outside the spacecraft in a closed leaky compartment. As circulating in the thermal media of the heat carrier, the air mass cooled by the ground thermal environment (GTE) is used. Cooling circuit AB, which includes technological thermoplates, pipelines and other elements of GTE, is performed open. Final part of the pipeline of the cooling circuit is placed inside the compartment with AB.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to increase the reliability of operation of various types of accumulator battery SC PSS in the stage of ground tests.
