FIELD: nanotechnology; food industry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to nanotechnology and food industry, specifically to a method of producing thymol nanocapsules in kappa-carrageenan. Method is characterized by that thymol is used as a core, kappa-carrageenan is used as a shell, wherein thymol powder is slowly added to kappa-carrageenan suspension in hexane in presence of 0.01 g of E472c as a surfactant, then mixed at 800 rpm, then fluorobenzene is poured, after which the obtained suspension is filtered and dried at room temperature, wherein the weight ratio of core : shell is 1:1, or 1:3, or 1:2.

EFFECT: disclosed method enables to obtain thymol nanocapsules using a simple technique.
