FIELD: pipelines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of making heat-insulating articles and can be used in making building structures, pipelines, heating devices, housings of household appliances, finishing materials and construction articles (roofing materials, panels, siding, windows and doors). Method of making a heat-insulating article involves preparing a composition which includes a binder and several layers of heat-insulating elements of a certain geometric shape. Binder used is material of article, wherein density of materials of binder and heat-insulating elements differ from each other at least twice, and heat-insulating elements are made of solid material in cross section. Further, the prepared composition is used for making a heat-insulating article.
EFFECT: technical result is the creation of a method of making a heat-insulating article, which provides high heat-insulating properties of the product while widening the field of use of the method.
