FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: implant installation system comprises mounting guide and mounting tool. Mounting instrument comprises a handle portion and a mounting cannula having a length, a proximal end made adjacent to the handle portion, and a distal end opposite to the proximal end. Mounting cannula is configured to deliver the implant into the patient's tissue through an incision in the patient's skin at the implantation site. Mounting guide comprises a first surface configured to be positioned next to a patient's skin surface at the implantation site, and an orienting tube extending under the first surface and comprising a proximal end configured to receive the distal end of the mounting cannula, a distal end, spaced from proximal end by first distance and longitudinal central axis located relative to first surface at second distance, at angle or at second distance and at angle. Mounting guide is configured to guide the mounting cannula into the tissue to perform implant installation to preset depth of installation under external surface of patient's skin, so that installation of opposite ends of implant in fact at the same specified depth is provided. Mounting cannula is configured to move inside the handle portion or nearby it relative to the handle portion. Method of implant installation includes providing said installation system.

EFFECT: inventions provide the implant installation to any given depth under the external skin surface.
