CLOSURE SYSTEM FOR CLOSURE OF A HOLE IN A VESSEL WALL (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B17/00 A61B17/03

Abstract RU 2799776 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices for percutaneous use for sealing a vascular opening using a plug or sealant. According to the first embodiment, the closure system for closing an opening in the vessel wall comprises an internal catheter, a sealant, a support tube, and a handle portion at the proximal end of the internal catheter. The internal catheter has an expanding structure located at its distal end. The sealant is located proximal to the said expanding structure. The support tube is located proximal to the sealant. At the same time, the handle section has a tension indicator configured to display information about the tension force applied to the vessel wall by the expanding structure. In accordance with the second embodiment, the closure system for closing the hole in the vessel wall contains an external catheter, an internal catheter, a sealant, a support tube and a handle section at the proximal end of the internal catheter. The internal catheter passes through the external catheter and has an expanding structure located at its distal end. The sealant is located at the distal end of the external catheter. The support tube is located proximal to the sealant. At the same time, the handle section has an actuator configured to place the sealant within the arteriotomy opening and compact the sealant relative to the vessel wall at the arteriotomy site.

EFFECT: inventions eliminate the step of replacing the cannula when using a standard procedural cannula in the sealant delivery method.
