FIELD: waste processing and disposal.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of development of effective extraction agents for extraction of long-lived radionuclides, particularly cesium and americium, from alkaline media and can be used in extraction technologies of alkali radioactive wastes processing. An extraction mixture containing p-isononylkalix[6 or 8]arene dissolved in a mixed organic solvent containing limiting hydrocarbon and a polar organic component in amount of 5–20 % by volume is used.
EFFECT: invention enables to develop an extraction mixture for combined extraction of cesium and americium from alkaline solutions with a higher degree of recovery, suitable, including for extraction processing of RAW.
