FIELD: communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical networks providing connection between electrical components. Optical network comprises at least one star-shaped splitter, comprising transmitting and receiving optical mixers, which are respectively optically connected to transmitters and receivers of plurality of opto electrical converters of medium. Each opto electrical medium converter has a corresponding receiver, optically connected to the receiving optical mixer by means of plastic optical fibers, and corresponding transmitter optically connected to transfer optical mixer by means of plastic optical fibers. Output plastic optical fibers attached to output surface of receiving optical mixer, have smaller diameter than inlet plastic optical fibers attached to inlet surface of receiving optical mixer.
EFFECT: technical result is weight reduction, simplification of production.
