FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: present invention discloses a method for condensation drying of natural musk. This method includes: decomposition of natural musk, at which thickness of natural musk layer does not exceed five centimeters; placing natural musk in a furnace for condensation drying and drying natural musk at a constant temperature of 5–50 °C by the condensation until weight loss during drying is lower than 35 %. Using the method of condensation drying, moisture release from musk samples and reduction of relative humidity in working space of drying furnace is carried out in sealed and low-temperature conditions. Loss in mass of musk after condensation drying can reach standard requirements of pharmacopoeia, without causing appreciable loss of volatile components of musk.
EFFECT: method is characterized by high efficiency of drying, cost effectiveness and ease of use.
