FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and can be used at thermal power plants, in boiler houses, and so forth to provide independent ignition and stabilization of combustion of pulverized coal and water-coal fuel mixtures without using additional ignition fuels. Method for flare combustion of fuel-air coal mixture consists in creation of electric discharge in ignition zone, supply of fuel-air mixture to ignition zone, effecting by diffuse electric discharge on zone of flame formation and fuel combustion. Primary flow of fuel-air mixture activated by electric discharge is swirled in cyclone pre-furnace to allow separation of fuel-air mixture fractions. Secondary air flow is swirled in cyclone prefurnace along the primary flow of fuel-air mixture by their mixing. Secondary air flow generates diffuse electric discharge of low-temperature air plasma, which activates particles of coarse and heavy fractions of fuel-air mixture, rotating in cyclone prefurnace along spiral at mixing flows. Simultaneously, along the cyclone fusing axis, a tertiary air flow is formed, in which an independent diffuse electric discharge is formed, plasma flow is mixed with particle flow of fine and light fractions of fuel-air mixture moving along cyclone furnace axis and ignites it. Inflamed axial flow of particles of fine and light fractions of fuel-air mixture due to thermal radiation activates ignition of tangential flow of particles of coarse and heavy fractions of fuel-air mixture, with formation of single flame at outlet to furnace.

EFFECT: invention allows burning combustible fuel coal mixture without mechanical carryover with minimum specific energy consumption, without using additional fuel.
