SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shutoff element for closing and sealing of holes loaded with internal pressure. Disclosed is a blind rivet for inserting into hole one or more parts, having a hollow rod with a front end for mounting a mounting tool and a rear end for insertion into and/or passage through the opening, wherein the rod has a deformable portion with a first wall thickness and an adjacent thread portion with a second wall thickness greater than the first wall thickness, wherein the threaded portion has an internal thread, wherein rod in area of threaded section and/or deformable section takes place of specified destruction, position and direction of which are such that when the rod is loaded in axial direction after destruction in a given place, the threaded section is immersed into a deformable section. Deforming section acts as a sealing element and has radial grooves.

EFFECT: technical result is higher tightness while providing connection.
