METHOD OF REGENERATING PARTIALLY REGENERATED REFORMING CATALYST Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC B01J38/44 B01J38/10 B01J38/14 B01J38/60 B01J23/96 B01J23/54 C10G35/09

Abstract RU 2731273 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of regenerating a periodically regenerated reforming catalyst involves bringing the reaction temperature to 300–400 °C; introduction of sulphur-containing naphtha into reforming reactor so that content of sulphur in catalyst makes 0.32–0.8 wt. %; then stopping feed introduction into reforming reactor; or stopping introduction of the initial oil product into the reforming reactor and introduction of sulphur-containing hydrogen into the recycle gas so that the sulphur content in catalyst is 0.32–0.8 wt. %, then stopping recirculation gas supply; burning of coke from catalyst, oxychlorination and reduction with hydrogen. Another method of regenerating a periodically regenerated reforming catalyst involves burning off coke from spent catalyst; adding sulphate ions therein; then carrying out oxychlorination and reduction. Disclosed is another method of regenerating platinum-rhenium reforming catalyst, involving burning of coke from spent catalyst; introduction of sulphur and chlorine by impregnation; then drying, calcination and reduction.

EFFECT: catalysts regenerated by said methods can be used without preliminary sulphurisation, wherein they work excellently during regeneration.
