FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for reforming gasoline fractions by successively contacting them in the presence of a hydrogen-containing gas at elevated temperatures and overpressure in several reaction zones, initially with a reforming metal oxide catalyst comprising alumina, platinum or a mixture of platinum with a promoter, and then with a zeolite-containing catalyst, possibly a modified promoter. In this case, the zeolite-containing catalyst as a zeolite contains crystalline ferroaluminosilicate or ferrohallium aluminum silicate with a zeolite structure of ZSM-5 or ZSM-11 in an amount of 5–75 % by weight.
EFFECT: use of ferroaluminosilicate or ferrohalium aluminosilicate in the composition of the zeolite-containing catalyst makes it possible to reduce the temperature of complete burn-out of the catalyst coke during the catalyst regeneration stage, and also to increase the yield of aromatic hydrocarbons and the octane number of the gasoline fraction obtained.
