SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of lighting device. Result is achieved by that lighting system 100 comprises first device 102 comprising first processor 104 for generating signal 110 comprising information, which is a connection between a plurality of orientations and a plurality of light settings, and transmitter 106 for transmitting signal 110. Lighting system 100 further comprises illumination device 112 comprising at least one light source 120, receiver 116 for receiving signal 110 from first device 102 and orientation detector 118 to determine first orientation of lighting device 112, as well as second processor 114 for selection of light adjustment, associated with one of plurality of orientations based on first orientation, and for controlling light output of at least one light source 120 in accordance with said light setting.

EFFECT: technical result is provision of lighting system, which controls one or more lighting devices by means of light adjustment, associated with one of multiple orientations of lighting device to provide required light scene.
