METHOD OF CONFIGURING A DEVICE IN A LIGHTING SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC H05B47/10

Abstract RU 2721683 C2

FIELD: lighting control.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a configuration system for configuring a primary device in a lighting system. Result is achieved due to that configuring system 100 comprises memory 102, configured to store one or more light settings 110, which light settings 110 are defined by one or more light setting rules 112. Configuration system 100 further comprises communication unit 104 for communication with primary device 130. Configuring system 100 further comprises processor 106 configured to identify property 132 of device of primary device 130 based on information, received from primary device 130 through communication unit 104. Processor 106 is further configured to access one or more light settings 110 stored in memory 102, and associating device property 132 with at least one of one or more light setting rules 112 of at least one of one or more light settings 110, only if property 132 of device is compatible with corresponding rule 112 of light setting, and also for preservation of this connection. This method enables the user to connect primary device 130 to configuration system 100, after which configuration system 100 based on light settings 110 stored in memory 102, determines the functionality of primary device 130 in this lighting system.

EFFECT: technical result is providing primary configuration of primary device, which eliminates the need to associate a primary device with a secondary device or group multiple devices, and also eliminates the need for the user to further configure the functionality of the primary device manually.
