SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a catalyst nozzle for placement in a reactor. Catalytic packing contains the first layer of the plate-type catalyst material and the second layer of the plate-like catalyst material located above it, wherein the catalyst material is a metal foam, wherein the catalyst material of the first and second layers comprises at least two plates adjoining each other to form a butt edge, wherein the plates of the second layer are located relative to the plates of the first layer so that on the projection of the butt edge of the first layer and the butt edge of the second layer on the common plane the butt edge of the first layer has not more than one common point with the butt edge of the second layer.
EFFECT: catalyst nozzle provides optimum efficiency of catalyst even in large size reactors.
