SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technologies using airgel and can be used to produce heat-insulating materials for wide application. Required technical result is achieved in the material airgel containing fibrous substrate density of 0.001–0.1 g/cm3, consisting of a silica and/or glass, and/or basalt fibre with diameter of 0.1–5 mcm, which is impregnated with aerogel obtained based on silicon dioxide from alkoxysilane with introduction of a gel agent and subsequent supercritical drying.

EFFECT: improved heat-insulating properties of the material in a wide range of temperatures, high absorbing properties of electromagnetic radiation in the region of the infrared spectrum, high mechanical strength and flexibility, as well as reduced shedding.
