SUBSTANCE: invention can be used, for example, in packing ceramic tiles. Packaging machine comprises a support surface for supporting at least one workpiece for forming a quadrangular package around the article being packed, a support for the article to be packed, made with possibility of vertical movement, workpieces storage units, means of manipulation, made with possibility to grip workpieces from said accumulators and their arrangement on support surface, folding means for folding workpieces when forming package around package article, wherein each of the accumulators and each of the manipulation means are arranged along the corresponding side of the formed quadrangular package.
EFFECT: invention simplifies the packing machine design and packing process.
